Jane launched E. Jane Wilson, Architect in historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania in 2011. Though she has worked on a wide range of projects including apartment complexes, educational institutions, offices and farm buildings, Jane's practice focuses on the design of family homes, both renovations and new dwellings.
In 2015, Jane and her husband made the decision to move to the wonderful Ottawa area. They purchased property in Manotick and designed, and built, a environmentally conscious home that exceeds Passive House standards and integrates with the natural landscape. In her work, Jane merges sustainable, contemporary design with knowledge of historical contexts and detailing. The use of natural light and integration with the local context and environment are important elements in all her work. Jane is a good listener and enjoys collaborating with clients to achieve results that both are proud of and that the client will enjoy for many years. Before studying architecture, Jane worked for 20 years in Europe as an Information Technology professional in an international corporation. She managed system implementations in countries across eastern and western Europe and led and participated in many strategic projects. Jane has been an adjunct faculty member in Temple University's architecture program and is an active volunteer in the community.. |
